We The Migrants portrays an intimate look into the people that chose to risk everything to join a human caravan in hopes to gain asylum in the United States.
Adapting typography from official US documents, the graphics package (below) aims to legitimize the story and efforts of the migrants. Drifting letters reminiscent of loved ones left behind. The main title (above) traces the treacherous route the human convoy undertakes. Intercut with archival footage it documents the crime, politics, and other layers engulfing the issue. The Migrants’ Chant (right) is an evocative type-portrait unveiling the struggles of the caravan.
